Of Faded Memories

I always knew that we would look back on our crying and laugh, but I never knew we would look back on our laughter and cry.

It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, a day to love someone-but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

ok so as promised, here's part 2:

The Seed That Waited Part 2

(basically what follows is the writer's own interpretation of the story lah. so enjoy..)

If we are bold and adventurous like the first seed, we may indeed encounter the dangers described by the second seed. But then, we would develop stabel roots in the ground, and grow tall and mighty. Our lives would be rich and dynamic. Every day would open up fresh horizons for us, and we would taste the marrow of life before death eventually claims it.

If, like the second seed, we are timid, overly-cautious and self-preserving, it may be possible to avert certain disasters. But you only need one chicken to finish you off. Even if that doesn't happen, we would live a life of fear and suspicion. We would remain a seed, incapable of benefiting others with the huge potential for growth that's trapped inside us. Furthermore, what is a life lived vainly slinking around the shadows?

Life is unfathomable and complex. One way or the other, we cannot tell what will come to pass. Risk does not increase simply becaue we choose to take it. It is ever present in the same amount, whether we trudge intrepidly forward or struggle to remain where we are.

So fuel your dreams with the courage to make them real. Allow your fragile heart to love without restraint in order to make it strong. Acknowledge your ignorance so you will continue to learn. And experience the vibrancy of life so that when it ends, you will not be burdened by regret.

-THE END-

Yep so that's all. Very lengthy but i hope u guys benefitted from reading it. Are you inspired? hahah anyway i got this from dream3r. If u guys got use GPRS then u should know this site =) when i chance upon another inspiring story/quote then i post on my blog ba.

Until then, seeya! Take care all. Dun fall sick haha. Promos coming wheee!

YAY the layout's changed! Thanks luan =) wahahah since i've promised u a story, i shall type it here for all to see.

It is a story about 2 seeds. Enjoy and think about it after u've read it.

The Seed That Waited

Two seeds lay side by side in the fertile spring soil.

The first seed said, "I want to grow! I want to send my roots deep into the soil beneath me, and thrust my sprouts through the earth's crust above me. I want to unfurl my tender buds like banners to announce the arrival of spring. I want to feel the warmth of the sun on my face and the blessing of the morning dew on my petals!"

And so she grew.

The second seed said, "I'm afraid, I don't want to grow yet. If i send my roots into the ground below, I don't know what I'll encounter in the dark. If I push my way through the hard soil above me, I may damage my delicate sprouts. What if I let my buds open and a snal tries to eat them? And if I were to open my blossoms, a small child may pull me from the ground. No, it's much better for me to wait until it is safe."

And so she waited.

(I think u guys should be able to guess the ending le ba. but anyway, i shall continue...)

Days went by, and the first seed grew up to be a young plant. Standing firm on its roots and stem, she basked in the sun, swayed to the wind and enjoyed the cooling raindrops that fell on her face when it rains.

The second seed, buried in the moist and dark soil, hopes to be like the first seed. It's time to grow, she said to herself. It's safe now.

Just then, a hen scratching around the ground for food found her and promptly ate it.

-A story written by Patty Hansen-

Yepp that's the story le. I think its rather meaningful. Think about the story for a short while! I shall post the writers' thoughts if u guys want to read it =)
