BAH! Wad a long and tiring week. But it was fun =)
I guess the main reason why i lost my voice is due to the LONG HOURS of singing and EXTREMELY SHORT slping time. Oh my lah i was calculatting the no. of hours i slpt this wk with xq in the hotel room and it add up to be less than 24hr >.< ah not forgetting i've been talking loudly and mc-ing. hahaha. I guess cursing ahem plays a part too.
But i really din mind losing my voice for choir. If i lost my voice cos of orientation kinda stuffs i'll regret. but not with choir! hahhaha. ahh i wan a choir camp again lah! we still got firewood left unburnt! and next time im going to plan a camp, i'm so not going to be in the games comm =/ anyway must specifically thank zhirui and laywang for the help in games comm! ah and the whole comm for supporting our games and being enthu =) and the IPs! woohoo thx for planning the wonderful games. Alot og ppl enjoyed the shoe game, though it's digsuting =X
Ah and Negativ! U guys rox man! =D Never felt so good singing on stage. ok i wasnt singing but anyway, the gradnight's performance it's the best lah! at least the best performance we had so far. We are Negativ but we give positive demonstrations =D wahahha i wan a concert with ttbb! maybe can propose to the teachers as part of fund raising programme for choir then ask SASA and H major to perform too. Hmm..
Anyway got to rush off for SYC concert le. meeting choir at cityhall at 530 and look at the time now! >.< Ciao fare the well! Shall leave u all with a short story on food hee
Carrot, Egg or Coffee beans?A girl named Lily was always bullied in school by her friends. She disliked going to school, and especially James, the "head" of the bullies.
One day, Lily was bullied by the gang in school and she got into trouble with the teachers for retailiating. After her dad fetch her home, he brought her straight to the kitchen and starting boiling 3 pots of water. Lily stood at a corner, knowing for sure that her dad is going to scold her.
However, her dad did not scold her. He stood infront of the pots silently until the water boils.
After the water in the pots starts to boil, he signalled took out a carrot, an egg and some coffee beans from the cabinet and threw them into the pots. Then, he said,
"Come daughter. Look at the three pots and tell me, are u a carrot, egg or coffee bean?"
"A carrot may seem hard and firm when u unearth it. But when it's placed in hot waters, it becomes all soft."
"An egg is fragile and easily broken. But when it's placed in hot waters, it becomes hard inside and even when dropped, it'll only suffer surface injuries."
"The coffee bean is bitter if u eat it raw. But when it's placed in hot waters, it simmers and the aroma of coffee fills the surroundings. It's no longer bitter and people like it more!"
"So tell me, are u a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean?"
With that, Lily's dad pat her head and gave her a broad smile and walked out of the kitchen.
Okay i typed this story myself so pls pardon me if there's any grammer errors. I heard this from my instructor in OBS! yepp so are u a carrot who gives up when faced with troubles, or an egg who will become hard and not give up, or a coffee bean whose likeable qualities are only seen in times of trouble?
